Extremely impressed by Capital Diagnostics customer service team. We needed a test for my son on day 5 after returning from a college visit to return to school….We tested Wednesday morning at our local test site only to find out that the samples weren't picked up until late in the afternoon after close of the clinic so didn't arrive to the lab until 8pm. At 4:30 pm I spoke to the Capital Diagnostics customer service team and Karen told me she would keep an eye on it and put a rush on the sample to ensure it got into the system as soon as it got to them…to make a long story short, Karen kept in touch with me during the evening (outside her working hours) via email and then next morning by phone and email keeping me apprised of the progress or lack thereof but giving me enough information that my son was able to go to school and await the results which came back at 10 am (within 24 hours of sample being tested) allowing my son to make his classes for the rest of the day and most importantly able to participate in the Toastmasters club after school today! The kids have it the worst and really want to be in school when they can, so we really appreciated Capital Dx going the extra mile and helping make that happen! Thanks to Karen and the entire team for such a great outcome!

I usually don’t post reviews, but wanted to share my experience with Capital Diagnostics because it’s very difficult to assess labs that do COVID-19 testing from a consumer standpoint. I am extremely impressed by the COVID-19 testing turnaround time and specimen collection staff at Capital Diagnostics. Last week, Capital Diagnostics did the testing for my son’s school (at school) and the turnaround time (results sent via email) was within 18 hours. They also provided the test results directly to the school within 24 hours. As an added safeguard, my son and I were tested again yesterday and, like clockwork, the test results were emailed to us within 18 hours (negative, thank goodness!). The specimen collection staff were also professional and careful. I was instructed by the front office staff, whom I had spoken to by phone, to let them know approximately when I would be arriving. I was to call again upon arrival and then someone would come out to my car to collect our specimens via nasal swab. I did as instructed and after a short five minute wait, one of the Capital Diagnostics specimen collection staff met us at our car in the parking lot. Dressed in full PPE, they double-checked our names and birthdates. We stayed seated in our car and only rolled the windows down. Specimen collection was quick and thorough. Though the COVID-19 nasal swab is not pleasant (and, of course, we don’t want to be tested unless it’s needed for personal and community health), I think this is as good as it gets. It was worth the drive to Laurel for the fast turnaround time and professional staff. Thanks, Capital Diagnostics, for doing an awesome job!
