The Clinical Laboratory at Capital Diagnostics performs various types of patient testing to provide accurate and reliable results. Capital Diagnostics currently consists of the following departments: Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology/Coagulation, Clinical Toxicology, and Molecular Diagnostics.
The Molecular Laboratory at Capital Diagnostics is responsible for the analysis of molecular tests for nucleic acid targets (DNA or RNA) on specimens obtained from nasopharyngeal, urine and vaginal swabs. We use Real Time qPCR instruments to test for antibiotic resistance and respiratory, urinary, and sexually transmitted pathogens that cause numerous infectious diseases. Some examples of our molecular testing menu include COVID-19, Influenza A & B, and UTI pathogens. Results can be viewed through our online portal system and take an average of 24-72 hours to populate.
The Clinical Laboratory at Capital Diagnostics is a full-service diagnostic laboratory including Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis. Results can be viewed through our online portal system and take an average of 24-48 hours to populate.
The Toxicology Laboratory at Capital Diagnostics is responsible for the analytical testing of urine and oral fluid samples to detect and measure the presence of prescription medication, illicit drugs of abuse, recreational substances, and alcohol metabolites. Patient samples are screened using immunoassay testing and confirmed using LCMS/MS. We partner with various physician offices, rehabilitation centers, in-patient programs, out-patient programs, and probationary programs to deliver quick and accurate test results. Results can be viewed through our online portal system and take an average of 24 hours to populate for screening results and 24-72 hours for confirmatory results.
